The further I delve into the world of Web 2.0, the more I see the spam issue for what it is. It’s an epedimic of ignorance, fear and the inability to allow ones mind to understand that there is more than one way to accomplish and objective.
Most of the people I find using spam are people who don’t know any better. They are being educated by people who don’t know how to market… thus… an industry of people looking for answers simply does what they believe is right… tarnishing reputations, losing momentum and, essentially, killing their marketing career before they even get started.
Spam, in it’s simplest definition, is providing ANYONE who has not ASKED with information concerning your business, opportunity or commercial interest. If you are sending messages, posting blogs, or participating in forums with content as described here, you are wrong, and you need to stop.
I see so many people come so close to doing things right on the social networks, only to blow it by including some long affiliate link at the end. If you believe that a real entrepreneur is going to click your link and join your opportunity simply because you “think” it “might” be great, think again. If you are lucky, you are going to get a program hopper or two, at best… who will join you… generating false enthusiasm (making you think you did right) only to watch them quit 30 days later because you lacked the communication skills to empower the person who joined you to become successful.
Twice today I have been contacted by people who call themselves “business people” with message like “I don’t know if you are looking or not, but I think that “so and so” is going to be huge and thought you would want to take a look.” NO! I don’t want to take a look! I don’t care! I am 100% focused and dedicated to my business, my mentors and coaches, my team, my students and my mission… anything else is a distraction and I am not interested, and neither should you be. You should be spending your time educating others so they will be attracted to you! That way, you can use your knowledge to leverage people into your organization/company and educate them correctly.
Think about how dumb this would be. Imagine that you owned a deli offline. Your deli is the doing very well… you are sellling more sandwiches and salads than anyone else on the block. The next thing you know, someone selling hamburgers and fries opens up down he street, comes to you and says “hey, how would you like to take the focus off of your business and join with me… it’s going to be big and great!” You would think that person was a lunatic! Does it really make anymore sense to do the same thing online?
I know this sounds harsh, but it’s the truth. I want to see people succeed and that’s not going to happen by publishing bullsh** information that isn’t going to instruct others as to the correct way to do things.
People don’t care abour your business, opportunity, product or marketing system. That’s why you are sitting there, at your computer, scratching your head and wondering why no one is signing up with you. If you can’t lead people to the promised land, they aren’t going to join you and stay. You have to empower others and lead by example.
When you understand how to meet the emotional needs of others, and what they are, you will then hold one of the keys to success in the home business industry.
This type of leadership requires education. When you have the ability to take someone into a community like MySpace, Direct Matches, Wowzza, NING… or any of the others, and show them how to generate traffic, leads and sales, then you will have the power to build an organization that will help you become successful as you empower them to do the same.
Don’t advertise where advertising isn’t welcome… and don’t spend any more money on advertising until you have taken the time to find a mentor who is qualified to help you do things the right way.

Rex Harris how to apply The Master Key System to home based business March 28, 2008

Back before I joined the Prosperity Cast Network, I remember my coach, mentor and friend, Val Smyth, sharing with us the details as to how the Master Key System by Charles Hannel had changed his life. Now that I have become a student of The Master Key System, I understand why Val is worth millions today.
Success in business is about proper mindset. Without the right mindset, your business is destined for destruction before you ever start. The truth of the matter is that business is business, whether you are doing business off line or on the Internet. Internet based business is not a money game, nor it should be treated as such.
I see new $5.00 and $10.00 programs popping up, every day, that get people just excited enough to waste a ton of time and traffic to generate a couple of hundred bucks, only to watch the same program fizzle and die within a few months time because it lacks substance and leadership.
I have found that quality beats quantity, all the time… and that mindset came through the meditations and teachings within the Master Key System.
The Master Key System is the gateway to the creation of the life that you want to live. The essence of The Master Key System is learning how your mind, body and soul work together as the creative force, that when used correctly, will create the very environment that the energy you generate creates. Negative thinking generates negative environments. Successful thinking creates successful environments.
Education and a willingness to submit to those who have gone before and paved the way will undoubtedly open a portal that will change your life, if you CHOSE to allow it.
Pride, ignorance, fear, mental disease and addiction cause weak minded people to believe in a false hope the breeds failure. You cannot possibly achieve a million dollar lifestyle if you don’t know how to create it and you can’t create it if you don’t listen to those who are willing to invest their time and show you how.
Pride and greed, my friends, are a killer. If you continue to believe “you can” when you have not the knowledge to “can”, then you can plan on “can’t” because “won’t” has caused you to believe a lie. That won’t is the pride that keeps you from reaching your “promised land.” For those of you who are students of the Bible, look at what pride and anger did to Moses.
Submission is not weakness. Pride is weakness, and pride will hold you back from reaching your destiny.
Acquire knowledge and develop wisdom so knowledge does not develop further pride.
Become a student of The Master Key System, apply what you learn to your life and you will see the change take place.

How to get top listings on Google… fast… using HubPages
I’d like to take a few minutes today and share with you a little known tactic for quick Google listings.
Most of the marketers that I have talked with, over the last year, have had one thing in common…. they don’t know how to take their promotions to the front pages of Google in order to reach their target market.
Last week, at the advice of a friend, I signed up for a blog site called HubPages and wrote an article. To my surprise, when I woke up the next day, I found that article on the second page of Google under my target key phrase.
For the last 8 months I have been studying keyword research for the optimization of my web site. Using the Google AdWords tool and DigitalPoint.com, I am able to plug in my keyphrase and find out how many searches are done, daily, for the key phrase I want to target.
While this knowledge alone is quite valuable, without the knowledge to apply that information to my marketing efforts, those keyword search tools are useless.
To succeed in the world of Web 2.0, people will need to know how to make things happen. Perhaps you have heard, in your marketing circles, that blogging and article writing is one of those keys. If that’s the case, it would be best advised to listen to those who know this, because it’s true… blogging can take you to the top of Google and more in record time.
To make this happen, you will need a few basic pointers to get started….
First, you will need to learn how to use the Google AdWords keyword tool. You can access this tool by going to Google and searching the key phrase “keyword selector tool.” Once that search has been completed, you will find the link for this tool in the top three listings of the page. Upon arriving, simply enter the key words you want to research in the “keyword suggestion” box.
Second, you will need to know how to use DigitalPoint.com. Upon arriving, if you scroll down and click “Webmaster Tools,” you will be taken to a page with multiple options. Select the “keyword selection tool.” You will then be prompted to enter words for phrase that you would like informatoin on. The results given will tell you exactly how many searches are being done for your key phrase(s) daily.
Third, you will need to write an article on HubPages targeting your key phrase. You will always want to include your key phrase is the title of all articles you want to optimize for the words/phrasing you have chosen. You will also want to use that key phrase a couple of times in the early stages of your article because the search engines pick up the key phrase at the top of a document much better than when they are used in the middle or toward the end.
When writing your articles, stick to what you know. One of the biggest mistakes most marketers make is to jump into someting before they know how to make it produce correctly. It’s always best to take the time to learn and grow. This process doesn’t mean that you have to quit working to learn. Having the right mentor, you will be able to earn while you learn.

The world of Web 2.0 is going to be an interesting transition for a majority of those who are marketing a business, product or service on the Internet. Many of the marketers who I talk to online are not interested in being social with anyone in business, in fact, most won’t even pick up the phone or message someone through a social community.
Fear won’t get you anywhere in this industry… and those who are afraid to be successful with fall prey to the statistic that states 97 out of every 100 people who try to become and Internet marketer… eventually fail or quit.
For those who are going to make the transition to Web 2.0, there are a few things you will need to know before getting started.
First, understand that social marketing is about building a solid reputation as well as relationships. A friendship builder is going to be successful in the world of Web 2.0 and reputation will proceed them when their name comes up in marketing circles, call and forums.
Next, it is important that you find a community where you can build a good profile. Your profile should include a current, professional looking photo, truthful information about yourself, and a theme that represents a professional, organized business person who projects an aire of dignity and confidence. Smiling never hurts either… angry, stern, hard pictures are not the image you want to send of yourself to others.
One of the most important parts of your profile are the “about me” section. Done correctly, your “about me” section can drive interested traffic to your capture system or web site, making your job of prospecting much easier. HINT: for an example of a solid “about me” for marketing visit myspace.com/socialmarketingsuccess
Now, once your profile is done, begin adding friends! Now you are on your way to having free or low cost web presence that will draw attention and bring people to you. You might consider a few of these tools to help you.
Friend Blaster Pro (Google: friend blaster pro) … for MySpace.
GoToMeeting (Web Conferencing) 30 day free trial @ www.gotomeeting.com
Skype: www.skype.com
Every day I train with people like Wes Wyatt, Val Smyth, Jeremy Henderson, Bob Riddell, Tim Henderson, Dave Gorby and Karin Hiebert. If you are searching for success on the Internet, line yourself up with those who are successful!
My recommendation to any Inernet marketer, new or struggling… before you join a business opportunity and spend money on something you don’t know anything about, get a coach/mentor. If you are have been failing or struggling with business online for any period of time, you need to stop and rethink things. Having a coach will save you countless hours and money that you may have spent to no avail.
